Privacy Policy

Sitebloom (“we”, “us”, “our”, ABN 96 692 975 107) builds and hosts websites for small businesses. We respect your privacy and handle your information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). This page explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it.
What we collect
We only collect what you choose to send us. When you fill in our enquiry form, that’s:
- Your name and business name
- Your email address (and phone number, if you choose to add it)
- Your suburb, type of business, and details about the website you’d like
- Any links you share — your current website, or sites you like the look of
For security and to keep the form free of spam, we also automatically record your IP address, browser type (user-agent) and the time you submitted. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies, and we don’t build profiles on you.
Why we collect it
- To reply to your enquiry and design, build and quote your website
- To provide and look after your site if you become a customer
- To protect the form against spam and abuse
We will not use your details for unrelated marketing, and we will never sell them.
Cookies & storage
This site is deliberately light on tracking. We store a small theme preference (light/dark) in your browser’s local storage — that never leaves your device. A short-lived session cookie is only set if a form submission needs to show you an error message. We don’t set advertising or analytics cookies by default.
If we ever run online advertising (for example Google Ads) or add analytics, the relevant provider may set its own cookies and measure conversions under their own privacy policy; we’ll update this page before that happens.
Who we share it with
We don’t sell or trade your information. We only share it with trusted service providers who help us run Sitebloom (such as our website hosting and email provider), and only as far as needed to respond to you and deliver our service. We may also disclose information if required by law.
Third-party services
We load fonts from Google Fonts to display this site, which means Google may receive your IP address as part of serving those files. No form data is shared in that process.
How we store and protect it
Your enquiry is stored securely in our database. We use prepared database queries and server-side validation, and we keep access limited. While no online service can promise perfect security, we take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details for as long as we need them to respond to you and provide our service, and to meet any legal or record-keeping obligations. You can ask us to delete your details at any time.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you. Just email hello@sitebloom.com.au and we’ll help. If you’re not happy with how we’ve handled your information, you can also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
Children
Sitebloom is a service for businesses and isn’t directed at children. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date above always reflects the current version.
